After a long run of fairly low levels of particulate matter pollution in Eastbourne, levels rose again as 2019 drew to a close.

While on Twitter Defra was reporting low levels of PM across all regions, Eastbourne was experiencing PM2.5 peaks above 60μg/m³ (including one at midnight - fireworks?), with floating 24h average figures rising to 45.7μg/m³, which according to Defra's own DAQI scale is in the "moderate" range (36-53μg/m³).

The good news is that it seems to have dropped away overnight.
